We are a Manufacturing jeweller and retailer called Lode Bespoke Jewellery...and are currently based in Torpedo Bay, Devonport, Auckland.
       

We started our small store in 2000, on the beautiful waterfront in Devonport, where the sea is across the road, the cafe is next door and the city is a billion light years away... and since those first scary what-the-hell-have-we-done-days, (when we thought no one will ever find us) when we looked at our bank account  and thought, hmm .... we have tripled the size of the store, tripled the staff and added many features like 3 cats, and a dog.

Jewellers and jewellery designers  are a dime a dozen in any city, and yes, we work in gold, silver, platinum, diamond and coloured stones...but what we do best is Custom Design.  We like to sit with our customers, drink coffee (or wine if it’s late in the day) and talk about their lives, loves, passions, memories and all those wonderful things that make them who they are. Then we take all those thoughts and design a stunning piece of jewellery that when created  is completely, utterly, and totally theirs. No question.

In our store, and now on this website, we sell only jewellery designed and made by our tame Master Jeweller (and Store Owner) Roley McIntyre.   Her designs can be a little ‘out there’ in some cases, for instance, the exhibition pieces are more Art than Jewellery  but each piece is a reflection of us, and that’s who we are and how we are.

We like to say that what we do, you won’t see anywhere else...a bit like real people I suppose! Nothing but a bunch of Individuals every one of them!

So, that’s a wee glimpse of our company.. a wee look through our windows. You can see more if you wander through our website, although you won’t quite get that touchy feely fix.  Actions (and pictures) speak louder than words and we like to think we’re shouting...

Oh, and by the way, we are 100% New Zealand owned and operated. All our design and manufacture is done right here in NZ, we do not outwork offshore.
