We are a company of Animal lovers and have populated our store (and our hearts) with many varieties. Mostly they just sit around looking gorgeous, but occasionally they fulfil some other criteria. Where possible, we have tried to match their personality to their individual jobs...
Everett FlickyTail
Ok so she has her own business card! Doesn’t every cat?
Everetts’ main job and one at which she excels, is to sleep on the cushion all day in the front window and entice customers in. Whilst this has been a very successful form of advertising for us, there is a dark side. I

mean, sometimes Everett is just not in the mood to socialise! Luckily not too many customers have been dissuaded by her killer swipe, in fact, Everett receives fan mail from many places, and is the face of Lode Jewellery on
Facebook. Her business card is the one most often taken by customers. That’s got to say a lot.
Mr Barrow-Boy McHugh Lewis
Everett's brother and a very cool dude! Barrow is a BIG cat and is very laid back. He is very placid and can often be seen lolling on the highest jewellery cabinets looking through the glass or pulling out all the gift wrap paper and bags and shredding them on the floor behind the sales desk This is exactly the attention seeking behaviour which he hopes will result in a treat of some kind...and often is!

For his services to stationery, we have made Barrow responsible for reordering store supplies.
Tosca
The cat least seen and, in her eyes, least loved. She lives in the office and is a dab paw at computer keyboarding and paperwork. Not often glimpsed by customers, Tosca does most of her work at night. She
suffers the indignity of sleeping on a personal sheepskin on her personal chair, doesn’t really get on with the other two feline shop assistants and tolerates the head of security. Tosca is the oldest, the softest, and the least understood member of staff. Obviously Office manager material!
Laszlo
The dog who won’t walk. Laszlo is a Hungarian Puli, which is a breed designed for watching sheep. Not doing anything with them, just watching. This trait means he is ideally suited to sit in the shop doorway watching the sea, the people the cars, and the “Platter” Cafe next door. This also means that skateboarders, bikes and other dogs are fair game...which makes him head of security! For a dog who just won’t walk, Laszlo can move pretty quickly when the mood takes him...a cowardly other-dog chaser who comes up behind them when they are distracted , nips at their heels and runs inside again.
Ok, so he’s a cowardly head of security...cute though!
