Call us sentimental but restoring old family pieces and breathing new life into a stone that has been handed down is a favourite pastime. We have a great respect for heritage and provenance and this is reflected in our handling and treatment of each piece.

That old saying, you get what you pay for is so true. Our prices are not the cheapest but we deliver on design and solidarity of the piece. Many people comment on how weighty the pieces are when held. Not uncomfortably heavy but reassuringly solid.

Honesty is our policy and when we consider whether a piece should be restored or repaired, we always look at it from the point of view  “if this was my jewellery, what would I do“. Often the solution doesn't fit the clients budget, but when this happens we try and offer a viable alternative. This way you know either the repair will be a short term fix or it will last for 10-15 years. The choice is entirely the customers and they make the informed decision based on the knowledge they are given.

We don't know it all and don't claim to. Everyone at Lode has their own unique contribution to the knowledge pool but that doesn't mean we all know the same stuff.  When we don't know, we go and find out.
