Rhodium Plating

Grrrr...we just don`t!
Going against tradition, we never rhodium plate any of our white gold pieces, unless the client specifically requests this.
When we sell our white gold products, the colour you see is the colour you get! Depending which white gold metal you buy, the colour varies from creamy white (9ctW) to a steely gray (18ctW) but the colour doesn`t change over time.
If you elect to rhodium plate your white gold, the plating can be expected to last anything from three months to two years depending on how thick it has been plated and how much you wear the item. Typically, the plating wears first around the back and sides of a ring and the ring appears to be "changing colour". At this point, it needs to be re-plated.

"Rhodium plating is a decorative surface that is often applied to precious metals such as white gold to give it a uniform and brighter finish, and on silver to resist tarnish.
Some high quality white gold (Those often coloured with platinum or palladium) still retain a good whiteness in the base metal long after the rhodium plating has worn away and replacement of the plating may not be required.
But, other white gold (those often coloured with a nickel mix) has a base colour of yellowish white which often needs maintenance to retain the white colour.
As our borders are now open, more and more of the yellowish white gold is being imported and sold.  The purchasers of this product need to be made aware of what they are really buying..."
