We always get asked about remodelling old jewellery. The answer is yes, we do.

When remodelling you need to consider what you are trying to achieve as it isn`t always as inexpensive as you might think. Perhaps you want to reset an old stone in a ring that Nana gave you or you are just tired of the style you chose twenty years ago.

When we look at the remodelling process, it is not dissimilair to making a new item. You may have the stones and the metal but we need to sit down and discuss with you what you ultimately want to achieve. You will need to book an appointment with Roley for a design session. Don`t worry if you aren`t sure what you want to do with the items when you book, as we are pretty good at asking the right questions, to help you find your way. The one thing you do need to do is bring in any jewellery you have a question about at this time. There is nothing more frustrating for both parties, to suddenly mid-design say "oh, yeah, and I have this chain at home, could we add that in too?".

We really enjoy restoring antique items of jewellery to their former glory or giving old family stones a new lease of life in a fresh design. Our policy is to be honest with you and we will tell you if your item is beyond repair or if we don`t believe we can improve it in any way.

We discovered Lode tucked away in Devonport several years ago.  Having made the decision to have my engagement and wedding rings remade, I was a little nervous at the prospect of working with someone to design my very own ring.  I shouldn't have worried - working with Roley was a breeze.  Her amazing creativity and skill meant the process was easy, the conversation and design process a pleasure, and her exacting standards meant my new rings were perfect in every way.  We are forever grateful to Roley.
