Looking across the Waitaki Valley in autumn is a vista of colour with snow capped mountains as a backdrop. This pendant tells the viewer what has been seen.

The top of the pendant is an 18ct white gold "snow capped mountain" set with white diamonds. Beneath this is a yellow gold curved wire representing the lower hills. The hazy blue tones of the distant ranges are shown with a stunning cabachon ceylonese sapphire. Two yellow gold chains suspend a unique ethiopean opal, which is set in an open topped 18ct white gold seting. The limestone, rocky base of the valley is depicted by the pear shaped champagne diamond in yellow gold...
A delicate pendant hung on an 18ct yellow gold chain, with an extension. The end of the chain has a natural yellow diamond and ceylonese sapphire set in yellow gold, to finish the piece off.

Due to unfortunate circumstances, the ethiopean opal has developed cracks. Rather than destroy the integrity of the piece, we have elected to sell this item well below its retail value. Finding another opal to match this one will be too difficult and after an independant inspection of the damaged stone, we believe it will not crack any further. Any potential purchaser will be buying this without guarentee on the opal.
The ceylonese sapphire and champagne diamond are of very good quality and no other part of this handcrafted pendant has any damage.
